Who we are

Hester Valley Truffles is a small family-run property set among the rolling hills of the Hester Brook valley. What started as a vision for a truffle orchard has slowly evolved into a place shaped by patience, physical work, and a deep respect for the land.

Stage one of the truffle orchard began in early 2023, with the first of the oak trees planted in July of that year. Watching the orchard establish itself has been a lesson in long timelines and restraint — caring for the soil, responding to seasons, and allowing the land to do what it does best. Stage two is planned for 2028, continuing the slow, deliberate growth of the orchard over time.

As the property developed, it became clear that this landscape was something worth sharing. Alongside the orchard, we’ve opened a small number of private camping sites, thoughtfully positioned to preserve space, privacy, and the quiet character of the valley. Camping here is intentionally simple — a chance to disconnect, slow down, and enjoy the natural rhythm of the land.

We’re also currently working behind the scenes on the next chapter: a small chalet that will sit gently within the landscape, designed to complement the environment rather than compete with it. Like everything else here, it’s being approached carefully and without rushing, allowing the land and the project to evolve together.

Hester Valley Truffles is a working property, but it’s also our home. We aim to keep it honest, low-impact, and welcoming — a place where guests can experience open skies, fresh air, and a sense of being properly away from it all.

Whether you’re here to camp, explore the valley, or follow the journey of the orchard as it grows, we’re glad to share this place with you.
